My name is Sunday (Sunny) Umeh. I was born and raised in Nigeria. Growing up, I successfully attended Anglican elementary school and Methodist secondary school. My parents sent me to the United States to further my studies in Business Administration almost immediately I graduated from secondary school. I earned my first degree (BA) in Business Administration from Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas where I also met a young beautiful girl who later became my wife.
After graduating from the university, I moved to Irving Texas in pursuit of better employment opportunities and graduate school. I held responsible positions in a Healthcare industry in different departments for many years before I resigned to become self employed. During that season, I started and operated two different companies with some employees. Later on, I went back into the corporate world to work for quasi government agency and a contracting company for Immigration and Naturalization Services. Again, I resigned to attend Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas without knowing my fate afterward. As a student at CFNI, my wife and I served as Counseling Pastors in a local church in Arlington, Texas for three years. I completed the three year program to earn Diplomas in Practical Theology and Advanced Pastoral Studies. I was also ordained and licensed as a minister at CFNI in Dallas, Texas.
To fulfill my childhood dream and ambition, I went back to school to complete my graduate work. I earned my graduate degree (MBA) in Business Administration from TWU in Denton, Texas. Presently, I am a teacher with Grand Prairie Independent School District and the Senior Pastor of Rivers of Living Water Church in Irving, Texas.
For over thirty years, I have been married to my freshman sweetheart and lovely wife, Sheila A. Umeh. The Lord has blessed us together with children and grandchildren.
