Rivers of Living Water was a name given by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to Sunday (Sunny) Umeh years before it was named after our church. Rivers of Living Water Church was founded by Sunday (Sunny) and Sheila Umeh in 2002. Our first fellowship was held on Friday September 27, 2002 at   the Knights Inn, 700 East Lamar Arlington, Texas, 76011. For three months, we met in the same location at 7:00 pm prompt. Beginning from the first Sunday in January 2003, we started holding worship services on Sunday mornings. We were at the Knights Inn for one year before we relocated to Beltline Road, Irving, Texas in October 1, 2003.

Though we have been in the same location in Irving, Texas, we have expanded acquiring and remodeling bigger spaces in order to meet our needs due to gradual growths. Rivers of Living Water Church has grown from single family to multifamily church and still growing to the glory of Almighty God.
